The United States is approaching the November midterm elections with a $2 trillion deficit attributed to the ongoing US-Israel war on Iran.

Former President Barack Obama identified this expenditure as a central factor for Ohio voters on Saturday during a campaign rally in the state. He described the conflict as an unnecessary war that nobody asked for, a decision he attributed to President Donald Trump's second term.

Obama characterized the current administration's two-year tenure as a period of chaos, cruelty, corruption, and incompetence. He urged local residents to view the upcoming vote as an opportunity to signal that enough is enough.

The speech also addressed the contentious Ohio gubernatorial race between Democrat Amy Acton and Republican Vivek Ramaswamy. Ramaswamy’s campaign recently aired an attack advertisement featuring Donna Arthur, Acton’s mother. Arthur disputes her daughter’s account of a childhood involving homelessness and sexual abuse by her stepfather, urging voters not to support Acton.

Acton stated she has not seen her mother since 1978. Her brother has publicly backed her account of the abuse, noting that the stepfather was charged with rape before his death in 2004. Obama supported Acton, describing her account of abuse, neglect, and homelessness as moving.

Sherrod Brown, a former Democratic senator seeking a comeback against incumbent Jon Husted, shared the stage with Obama and Acton. Current polls indicate a slight Democratic lead in both the gubernatorial and Senate races, though outcomes are expected to remain close.
