Target will offer Black Friday discounts for three consecutive days, beginning Thursday, November 5, and ending Saturday, November 7. This marks a shift from the traditional single-day sale to a longer promotional window.

The three-day event is part of a larger campaign that launched on November 1 with a daily deal feature. The company plans to publish a different promotion every day until December 24. For the first time, shoppers will be able to view the next day's offer one day in advance, allowing them to compare prices before purchasing.

Target has added more than 8,000 new gift items to its inventory for the holiday season. More than half of these items are exclusive to the retailer. The majority of the new merchandise is priced at $20 or less, with thousands of items costing $5 or less.

Specific product pricing includes festive decorations starting at $5, family pajamas at $10, 100% cashmere items at $25, and synthetic fur blankets at $30. The selection also features toys from LEGO, Barbie, and Nintendo, as well as beauty products from established and emerging brands in the Target Beauty Studio section. Classic candy and hostess gifts from Favorite Day are also available, along with exclusive items for sports and wellness enthusiasts.

The company is rolling out a tool called Ask Target, an artificial intelligence shopping assistant available in beta on Target.com and its mobile app. This tool suggests gift ideas and helps narrow down options for consumers. Target is also providing a digital children's holiday catalog and other AI-driven features. In November, the retailer will launch Academy of Giftology, a campaign designed to address common questions about gift selection.

Following the initial three-day Black Friday period, Target will continue to offer limited-time discounts every weekend throughout the Christmas season. The daily deal structure will persist through December 24, requiring customers to check the website or app each morning to see the current day's specific offer.
