The price of Acer's Predator XB27OU gaming monitor fell by $50 on October 23, 2026, bringing the retail cost to $329.99 at Best Buy. The discount targets buyers looking to upgrade from older IPS panels to OLED screens without a major financial outlay.

The monitor features a 26.5-inch QD-OLED panel with a maximum resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. Tom's Hardware notes that this QHD resolution is suitable for mid-range gaming PCs. The lower pixel count means graphics cards do not face the same performance demands as they would with 4K displays, allowing for stable frame rates on less expensive hardware.

Performance specifications include a 240Hz refresh rate and a gray-to-gray response time of 0.03ms. The OLED technology enables this speed, which Tom's Hardware says prevents the ghosting artifacts common on slower displays. The screen also supports AMD's FreeSync Premium, a feature that synchronizes the monitor's refresh rate with the game's frame rate to eliminate screen tearing.

Color accuracy is a key differentiator for the device. The XB27OU covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and maintains a Delta E accuracy figure below 2. It supports HDR10 and 10-bit color, standards that increase contrast and color depth relative to standard dynamic range. The panel produces deep blacks and high contrast, attributes that enhance visual clarity in games.

Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 port. This configuration allows users to connect a desktop PC and multiple game consoles to a single screen. The port selection supports modern devices that require high-bandwidth video signals.

The reduction in price positions the monitor as a cost-effective option for gamers seeking current display technology. The $329.99 price point makes the 240Hz QD-OLED panel accessible to a wider segment of the market. The offer is available at Best Buy as of the current date.

The move reflects a shift in the display market where advanced OLED technology is becoming available at lower price tiers. By reducing the cost of the XB27OU, Best Buy and Acer are competing for buyers who prioritize speed and color quality in their gaming setups.
