Fans of the NFL and Disney characters can purchase new limited-edition gear starting Thursday. The partnership introduces three distinct collections designed for the upcoming Super Bowl LXI. These items include apparel, plush toys, and digital assets, all featuring Mickey Mouse and his friends alongside NFL branding.
The Disney x Champion line offers T-shirts and crewnecks. This collection runs parallel to the Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs launch, which includes digital pin packs for the event. The Disney x FOCO partnership provides merchandise for all 32 NFL teams. Items in this line include plush toys, clip-on plush, bobbleheads, figurines, and clear stadium bags. These products allow fans to display their team affiliation alongside Disney characters.
Paul Gitter, executive vice president of global licensing at Disney Consumer Products, stated that sports is a growing area for the company. He noted that the sector reaches highly engaged audiences and sits at the center of culture. Gitter said the products give fans another way to connect with teams, athletes, and stories. He added that Mickey & Friends bring a uniquely Disney expression to NFL culture.
Casey Collins, senior vice president of consumer products and licensing at the NFL, called this period one of the most exciting chapters in the shared history of the two brands. Collins highlighted that new products are already in the market. He noted that more items will arrive before Super Bowl LXI airs on Disney networks and platforms. He described the timing as ideal for fans of both brands.
The collaboration first debuted in August. As the football season progresses, the partnership will continue releasing product drops. Upcoming items will be inspired by Mickey and Friends and will come from partners including Crocs, Just Play, and New Era. Additional products from Champion will also enter the market.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Disney’s Super Bowl What’s Next campaign. The event will air on ESPN and ABC. It will also stream on Disney+ for the first time. This broadcast strategy aligns with the new merchandise rollout.
