OnePlus began shipping stable Android 17 updates to Indian users on October 23, 2026.

The company moved the launch date forward by seven days, beating the original October 29 target. The first devices to receive the update are the OnePlus 15 smartphone and the OnePlus Pad 4 tablet. This release marks the end of OxygenOS, as these are the first models to switch to ColorOS, the software layer used by Oppo.

OxygenOS started as a simplified version of Android but evolved into a global variant of ColorOS. OnePlus announced the phase-out of OxygenOS when it reduced its global operations. The stable build follows a period of beta testing. The company described the new software as a way to make technology feel more natural. OnePlus said the update aims to reduce friction when users switch between tasks or devices. The company used the phrase "Flow with AI, Flow Everywhere" to describe the AI features included in the update.

The first wave of updates is limited to the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Pad 4. Other models are confirmed for later releases. The OnePlus 13 is scheduled to receive the update on October 30, 2026. Previous generation flagships and various Nord models are also on the list. The source did not provide specific dates for regions outside India, though updates are expected in the coming days.

The timing follows a period of restructuring for the brand. Reports indicate that the OnePlus 15 and other models sold out in the United States after the company scaled back its global operations. OnePlus has also introduced the OnePlus 16, which features a 9,000 mAh battery.

Users in India can now access the stable build through their devices. The shift to ColorOS unifies the software experience across OnePlus hardware. The company has not announced further changes to the update schedule beyond the confirmed October 30 release for the OnePlus 13.
