Apple TV will stream a four-part documentary series about Justin Timberlake in December, according to three sources.

The project, described by insiders as a tell-all, marks a new media engagement for the singer. Fisher Stevens is set to direct the series. Representatives for Timberlake, Apple, and Janet Jackson did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The announcement follows a period of limited public activity for Timberlake. He made a guest appearance at a Jay-Z concert in Paris in October. Prior to that, he had been out of the public eye since completing his "Forget Tomorrow" global tour in July 2025. That tour supported his 2024 album, "Everything I Thought It Was," which reached stores in March of that year.

Health issues played a central role in the latter stages of that tour. In July 2025, Timberlake announced a diagnosis of Lyme disease. He stated that the condition caused nerve damage and fatigue, which he noted made living with the illness "relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically." Fans observed him appearing sluggish during the international dates of the tour. He attributed those moments to the behind-the-scenes struggles associated with his diagnosis.

Legal matters also intersected with the tour timeline. Timberlake was convicted of a DWI in 2025, stemming from a 2024 arrest in Sag Harbor, New York. Police pulled him over in June 2024 after he ran a stop sign and veered out of his lane. The stop occurred shortly before the tour began. While Page Six reported that Timberlake told officers, "This is going to ruin the tour," bodycam footage released later showed he actually said something similar to "I'm on tour."

The new series will include commentary from Janet Jackson regarding the 2004 Super Bowl performance where she experienced a wardrobe malfunction during a duet with Timberlake. Another source indicated that Timberlake will also discuss recent remarks made by his former girlfriend, Britney Spears. No further details on the production schedule or release date beyond the month of December were available at the time of publication.

Timberlake has maintained a relationship with Apple since 2021, when he starred in the studio's original film "Palmer." The upcoming docuseries will be his next major project on the platform.
