New York City residents will experience mild conditions on Wednesday, October 28, with a high temperature of 63 degrees Fahrenheit (17 degrees Celsius) and a low of 52 degrees Fahrenheit (11 degrees Celsius). The National Weather Service forecasts indicate that the perceived temperature, or 'feels like' value, will range between 68 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius) during both the day and the night.

Precipitation is unlikely throughout the day. The probability of rain stands at 3% during daylight hours and drops to 2% during the night. Cloud cover will remain low, with 13% coverage predicted for both the daytime and evening periods. These conditions suggest a clear sky for most of the 24-hour cycle.

Wind speeds are expected to be minimal, peaking at 1.24 miles per hour during the day and maintaining that same speed at night. Meteorologists advise wearing light clothing due to the low wind chill and moderate temperatures. The sun will rise at 07:21 a.m. and set at 17:57 p.m., providing the city with 11 hours of daylight.

The weather pattern is expected to continue into Thursday, October 29. Temperatures will fluctuate between a high of 66 degrees Fahrenheit (19 degrees Celsius) and a low of 57 degrees Fahrenheit (14 degrees Celsius). Rain chances will remain low, with a 2% probability in the morning, rising to 8% in the afternoon, and falling back to 2% by nightfall. Cloud cover is described as scant for the upcoming day.

New York City features a fundamentally humid climate, characterized by cold winters and warm summers. Precipitation occurs year-round, including summer thunderstorms and winter snow. Proximity to the Atlantic coast moderates temperature extremes. December and March are typically the coldest months, while July and August record the highest temperatures. The East Coast predominantly experiences humid subtropical climates in the south and humid continental climates in the north, specifically between 40 and 70 degrees north latitude.
