The Los Angeles Chargers finished Week 7 with a bye after suffering their eighth consecutive loss. They remain the only team in the National Football League to have lost every game this season.
In other Week 7 results, the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Kansas City Chiefs and ended the Chiefs' unbeaten streak. Kansas City running back Kenneth Walker III rushed for 36 yards on 14 attempts. He scored 9.7 fantasy points in the game, marking his lowest total of the season.
The Atlanta Falcons defeated the San Francisco 49ers to take down another undefeated team. Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. threw for 20.4 fantasy points and finished eighth among quarterbacks. The 49ers' Brock Purdy threw two interceptions. San Francisco running back Christian McCaffrey left the game to visit the team medical tent.
Fantasy football managers are focusing on Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers for Week 8. Bowers is scheduled to play away at the New York Jets. He currently ranks second in the league in receiving yards among tight ends. He has played two fewer games than the leader, Trey McBride. Bowers averages 19.1 fantasy points per game.
The New York Jets possess the third-best passing offense in the league. Their defensive end David Bailey is listed as doubtful for the game. Bailey leads the Jets in sacks. His absence may give Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins more time to throw the ball.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson faces the Detroit Lions in a primetime matchup. The Lions have a passing defense ranked 31st in the league. They allow 291.8 passing yards per game. Jefferson has underperformed relative to his career standards this season. He returns from a bye week against a depleted Lions secondary.
Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is a candidate to sit for fantasy managers. Goff has thrown 14 touchdowns and zero interceptions this season. He faces the Minnesota Vikings at home. The Vikings have the best defense in the league. They have allowed only 155 passing yards per game this season.
The Vikings also lead the league in turnover differential. They have forced seven more turnovers than they have committed. Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores is credited with organizing the unit. Goff may face pressure that forces the Lions to rely on safer run plays.
Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor is the final player analyzed for Week 8. Taylor plays away at the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have the best run defense in the league by yards allowed. The Colts traded franchise cornerstone Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks. The absence of the All-Pro blocker is expected to impact Taylor's production. The Jaguars have recorded only 11 sacks this season.
