Tesla has clarified the visual and functional layout of its upcoming next generation Roadster, offering investors and enthusiasts a detailed look at the vehicle's digital cockpit. The electric automaker released a thirty four second video on Friday afternoon that walks through the car's primary touchscreen, describing the design as inspired by fighter jet cockpits and centered on the pilot.

The software interface places the vehicle model itself at the center of the home screen rather than a navigation map. Users can access controls for the rear wing, including low drag and high downforce settings, as well as charging limits and a music player. Standard navigation tabs for home, vehicle settings, audio, climate, and maps line the bottom of the display, marking a significant departure from the interface used in Tesla's current lineup.

The majority of the demonstration focuses on the vehicle's Track Mode capabilities. This mode displays a live circuit map, session lap times, and real time data for brake and motor temperatures. Drivers can monitor pressure and temperature for each tire while adjusting aero modes, brake balance, and stability controls. A status bar prominently displays a thruster gauge reading five thousand five hundred PSI alongside a Boost Ready indicator.

This digital display connects directly to the hardware revealed in Waco, Texas, in mid October. The Thrust and Rocket configurations utilize cold gas thrusters supplied by carbon overwrapped pressure vessels. Tesla claims these versions will accelerate from zero to sixty miles per hour in under zero point nine seconds and under zero point five nine seconds, respectively. The base Performance model relies on a fan and ground sealing system for grip, with the on screen aero settings matching the active wing and suction mechanisms previously described.

Tesla has indicated that the Roadster will feature two smaller forward displays in addition to the main touchscreen. The company has not yet confirmed if the detailed Track Mode telemetry seen in the video will be integrated into other models, such as the Model 3 Performance. The interface may still undergo changes before production begins in 2028, as stated by CEO Elon Musk.

Market access for the vehicle will be tiered. The flagship Rocket version is not currently approved for public road use and is available only by invitation. The Thrust model is listed as a limited release, while reservations for the broader offering require a fifty thousand dollar payment. This pricing structure positions the car as a premium niche product within the electric vehicle sector.

Public interest remains high as the vehicle makes its first public appearance this weekend. The Roadster will be on display in the lobby of the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles from October twenty fourth through the twenty seventh. This exhibition marks the first time the general public can view the vehicle up close, providing a tangible connection to the digital specifications revealed in the latest software walkthrough.
